Tragic Motorcycle Accident Claims Lives of Two Young Tourists in Neelum Valley

Kel, Neelum Valley – June 30, 2024: In a devastating incident, two young tourists lost their lives after their motorcycle plunged into the Neelum River in the Neelum Valley. According to police sources, the accident occurred at the Keil Machhil site, a popular tourist destination.

The victims have been identified as Faisal Mahmood (20) and Shair Ali (21), both residents of Dera Ismail Khan. The two young men were enjoying a trip to the scenic Neelum Valley when the tragic incident unfolded.

“The motorcycle they were riding lost control and they fell into the Neelum River. Unfortunately, both of them succumbed to their injuries,” a police spokesperson stated.

The dead bodies of the victims were recovered by the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (DDMA) of Neelum and shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital in Keil for further procedures.

Akhtar Ayub, the in-charge of DDMA Neelum, informed that the deceased’s bodies will be transported to their respective homes in Dera Ismail Khan via ambulance.

The local community and the victims’ families have expressed deep sorrow over the untimely demise of the two young men, who were on a journey to explore the natural beauty of the Neelum Valley.
