MUZAFFARABAD: On March 8th, in commemoration of International Women’s Day, a special educational session was organized by the Jammu Kashmir National Student Federation (JKNSF) for female students at the University of Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) City Campus.
The session focused on discussions about women’s rights and empowerment, emphasizing the importance of women’s participation in societal progress.
Addressing the gathering, Senior Vice Chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir National Students Federation (JKNSF), Sughra Nasir, highlighted the significance of women’s contributions to society.
She stressed that women are not merely victims of oppression but are also active agents of change. Nasir reiterated the importance of granting women the same rights and opportunities as men.
The session served as a platform for female students to engage in dialogue and reflection on issues concerning gender equality and women’s empowerment. Participants discussed the need for women to have autonomy and the right to lead self-determined lives within society.
International Women’s Day was also celebrated as an occasion to honor the hard work and dedication of women who stand alongside men in their struggles. The event aimed to inspire and empower women to continue advocating for their rights and playing active roles in shaping a more equitable society.
