The moon of Dhul-Hijjah was sighted in Saudi Arabia yesterday, June 28. As a result, Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated on June 28 in Gulf countries including Dubai.

Eid-ul-Adha is one of the most important festivals in the Islamic calendar. It marks the end of the annual pilgrimage to Mecca, known as the Hajj. The festival is also a time for Muslims to sacrifice an animal in commemoration of the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim.

The announcement of the date of Eid-ul-Adha is made by the Central Viewing Hilal Committee, which is a group of religious scholars who are responsible for determining the start and end of each lunar month. The committee bases its decision on the sighting of the moon.

Eid-ul-Adha is a public holiday in Kashmir. On this day, Muslims gather to pray in mosques and offer sacrifices. They also visit the graves of their loved ones and exchange gifts.

The festival is a time for Muslims to come together and celebrate their faith. It is also a time for them to reflect on the importance of sacrifice and compassion.
